The State Of Florida requires all teens under the age of 18 seeking a learner’s permit to complete a state approved driver education course, in addition to the existing Traffic Law & Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) Course. This new requirement, effective July 1, 2025, mandates a full driver’s education course approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).
